Custom-designed space brings color and function to the top floor of a landmark Manhattan home.

Tucked away on the fifth floor of a historic Upper East Side townhouse—originally commissioned by Frank Winfield Woolworth—this playroom was thoughtfully designed for our client’s six children. It was important to us that each child could enjoy the space both together and independently. We created a multifunctional environment that encourages shared play while allowing for moments of individual exploration, blending joy, versatility, and a sense of belonging for a large, lively family.
